Today AARP announced the winners of their innovation awards.
According to AARP: "The AARP Innovation Champion Awards were created to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary efforts of companies that are aligned with AARP's core mission – to empower people to choose how they live as they age."
Elli•Q, the active aging companion for older adults has won the AARP Innovation Champion Award in the category of ‘Social Well-Being’ Innovation.
We're thrilled to be recognized by the AARP, THE non-profit for older adults in the United States, with over 38 million members. We share the same vision and deeply believe that innovators can bring technologies to bare that will celebrate aging and empower older adults to age with the dignity and respect they deserve.
The Social Well-Being category goal was to find the best innovation that fits the below AARP criteria:
"Over the past decade, caregivers and their recipients have become increasingly comfortable incorporating digital technology and social networking into their lives. It can be a comforting way to create social and cultural connections and break down the barriers of aging. Yet many new technology innovations remain off seniors’ radar, and an even greater need exists for more services that gather content specifically of interest to seniors and deliver it through one easy-to-use and trusted source."
Thanks AARP!! Continue pushing the industry forward with your support of innovation, disruption and care.
